Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot determined to close colleges for the day in the country’s third-largest district rather than reinstate distance learning, which she stated was unnecessarily disruptive for families and staff. Litzelman mentioned it’s unclear what number of lecturers will take part in Friday’s action, however he expects the majority of educators at each of the six colleges will call out sick.
